PLAYER & GOALIE HELMET SIZING

It is recommended that all players wear a HECC and CSA certified helmet, characterized by an approval sticker. A helmet should fit snug yet comfortable to maximize protection. Measurements for Helmet or Mask - To properly fit a helmet, one must measure in inches the circumference of his or her head approx. 1" above the eye brows. This circumference will aid in the proper sizing of the helmet.

What is a “cat eye” cage? (For Goal Cages/Helmets)
ANSWER : (1). A cat eye cage is designed to give goaltenders a greater field of vision, (2) By opening up the area around the eyes, goaltenders have an unimpeded view of the puck, (3) Because the eyes become somewhat exposed there is an increased risk when using this cage.

Therefore, cat eye cages are not HECC certified and cannot be worn by youth goaltenders.
